More than Merch: Why we do more than DJ

When I started out as a DJ in early 2023, I was an inexperienced high school kid who had no idea where I was headed. I had just started out as a DJ and was getting used to the whole process when people began asking if I had a business card or way to get in contact to book me. I didn’t know I needed those things as I was there to just play music and have a good time. It wasn’t until around 2025 when I finally started booking my own gigs separate from my mentor that I understood the need for something calling back to me and my work.

Pool Guy Entertainment is a long running dream that I have to bring music and good times to more than just my friends. The events I do are the beating heart of Pool Guy Entertainment, but our clothing line is our way of showing out who we are as a brand. Each piece of clothing is designed to target a specific part of the Pool guy aesthetic. The vinyl turntable is an homage to my mentor and the DJ greats of the past, present, and future. The eight ball and pool cue are representations of some of the aspects of my college experience (the time where I have really come into my own as a DJ and Entertainer). The clothing pieces themselves are handpicked for their material and weight so that no matter where you are each piece goes with the rest of your closet and any events you might be attending.

As a DJ, I get to enjoy the party from a different perspective, but to see my shirt or hoodie in the crowd brings me much more joy. To know that someone enjoys what I do as much as I do always brings joy to my heart in a way that I can never express enough gratitude for!
